Tali Wood
Experience the natural strength and beauty of Tali wood, a versatile hardwood with rich color variations ranging from golden yellow to warm orange-brown. Over time, it matures into deep dark brown or elegant reddish-brown tones, adding timeless character to any project.

Renowned for its exceptional durability and uniform structure, Tali is the perfect choice for long-lasting, high-quality applications.

Applications

Tali wood is distinguished by its rich color palette, ranging from fresh yellow to orange-brown tones that, over time, naturally mature into deep dark brown or reddish-brown shades. The narrow sapwood, which can reach up to 60 mm, varies from yellow-gray to dark yellow, while the wood itself features a uniform structure with occasional darker streaks. With a durability class I for its heartwood, Tali is exceptionally suited for long-term and demanding applications.

Thanks to its strength and resilience, Tali wood is widely used in heavy outdoor constructions such as waterworks, bridges, and other infrastructure. Beyond structural use, it is also a popular choice for flooring, parquet, thresholds, façade cladding, and turned elements. Its versatility and performance are often compared to Azobé wood, making Tali a reliable option for both functional and aesthetic projects.

With its high density (around 900 kg/m³) and interlocked grain, Tali wood can be challenging to machine, often leading to faster tool wear. Proper dust extraction is essential, as the wood contains natural substances that may cause nose and throat irritation during processing.

Since January 1, 2012, Tali wood has been available with CE marking in accordance with NEN 5493 or British Standard (BS) regulations. Within the European Union, CE marking is generally required for construction timber, ensuring unrestricted trade across the European Economic Area.

With the CE mark, Boogaerdt Hout guarantees that Tali wood complies with all relevant standards and reference documents. This certification confirms product conformity and allows it to be freely traded throughout the EEA.
