Solar Solutions for Mega Cutter Suction Dredgers
For one of our dredging clients, we designed two remote-controlled 250-ton quick-release hooks powered by a solar hydraulic powerpack. These innovative systems are installed on the left and right anchor line pontoons of their mega cutter suction dredger, enabling safe and efficient deployment.
The anchor lines move the vessel in a side-to-side motion, sweeping the dredging area along the sea or riverbed. With our solar-hydraulic remote control solution, operators can quickly and safely release the anchor lines in case of emergencies, storms, or when relocating.
By integrating AIS, navigation lights, and working lights, the system provides a complete all-in-one solution for safe, around-the-clock operation of the pontoons.
