Applications

The heartwood of Sipo and Sapele Mahogany shows a beautiful red-brown color, while the 20-60 mm wide sapwood has a striking gray-pink hue. The quarter-sawn wood reveals a beautiful stripe pattern, with Sipo Mahogany having a fairly regular cross grain. Under the influence of sunlight, clear finished Sipo transforms into a warm golden brown. Sapele Mahogany has a heartwood that varies from pinkish red to deep red, with an enchanting golden sheen. The characteristic stripe pattern is created on the quarter-hour plane thanks to the typically regular crosshair. Another striking aspect of Sapele is its wonderful cedar-like scent. We only offer dried logs of Sipo Mahogany in A-quality, so that you can obtain the same structure and color for your carpentry projects.

Mahogany (Sipo and Sapeli) wood is known for its excellent workability, both with hand tools and machines. The wood is easy to process and shape, making it ideal for various projects. However, wood with an irregular grain may require extra attention. With Mahogany wood you can create precise details, achieve perfect finishes and use various processing techniques without any problems.
