SFT usually supplies open link chains, stud link chains are available on request. It is recommended to use chain tensioners.

Chain System.
Most fender systems with steel panels require chains for weight support and to limit tension and shear in the rubber unit.
A typical SFT chain system consists of compatible items to allow optimal performance of the fender system. These are:
- Anchor bolts
- Brackets
- Washers & Washer Plates
- Bolts & Nuts
- Shackles
- Chain tensioner (recommended)
