Quick Release Offshore Hooks FPSO

Quick Release Offshore Hooks for FPSO Operations
Quick Release Offshore Hooks for FPSO Operations

Building on our standard quick release mooring hooks, Straatman has developed a specialized offshore hook designed specifically for FPSO tandem mooring and offloading operations.

The FPSO quick release hook typically features a single fixed hook configuration, integrated with a bracket or foundation for secure deck mounting. Installation can be carried out either by welding or bolting.

Standard safe working loads (SWL) for FPSO hooks are 250 or 300 tons, with higher capacity hooks available upon request, tailored to meet your specific operational requirements.

Quick Release Offshore Hooks for FPSO & FSRU Operations

Our quick release mooring hooks are specially designed for safe and efficient offshore mooring in FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) and FSRU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit) operations. These hooks ensure secure mooring while allowing for quick and easy release when needed.

Key Features of Our Quick Release Hooks
  • Strong & Durable Design: Our quick release offshore hooks are built to handle high loads, with a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 250 to 300 tons. On request, we can design hooks for even higher capacities.
  • Easy Installation: The hooks are installed on the deck surface of an FPSO or FSRU using a custom foundation with a bracket or base plate, which can be welded or bolted into place.
  • Mooring Load Monitoring System: Our hooks can be equipped with load monitoring sensors, displaying real-time mooring force data. If the load exceeds a preset limit, visual and audible alarms will activate. Monitoring panels and cabinets can be installed in the control room for easy access to mooring data.
  • Certified for Hazardous Environments: All components of our quick release offshore hooks are ATEX or IECEx certified to meet the strict safety requirements for hazardous offshore environments.
  • Safety Features: The hooks have built-in safety mechanisms to prevent accidental or unintended release, ensuring secure mooring under all conditions.
  • Multiple Release Options: To suit different operational needs, our hooks can be operated in various ways:
    • Manual release using a lever
    • Remote release from the control room
    • Hydraulic release via a local control panel
