UHMW-PE Sliding Plates

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) Sliding Plates are typically manufactured from double-sintered polyethylene, which is a blend of reclaimed and virgin materials. Plates made from 100% virgin material are also available. Thanks to their superior physical and mechanical properties, these plates offer the highest strength and wear resistance, resulting in exceptional durability among all polyethylene products. As a result, the majority of steel fender panels are fitted with UHMW-PE Sliding Plates.

The manufacturing process imposes certain limitations on cross-sectional thickness and plate dimensions. Regenerated UHMW-PE Sliding Plates are typically available in thicknesses ranging from 2 mm to 200 mm, while plates made from virgin material range from 2 mm up to 400 mm. Standard plate sizes vary from 1,000 x 1,000 mm up to 6,000 x 2,500 mm.

The standard color is black, with other colors such as green, yellow, white, or red available upon request.
