The Cylindrical Fender was the first rubber fender type developed with defined performance characteristics. Its simple installation—using chains, bars, ropes, or specially designed ladder brackets depending on the fender size and substructure—makes it a versatile solution for many applications. A key advantage of this fender type is its linear increase in reaction force and energy absorption up to the rated deflection, ensuring smooth and controlled berthing.
Cylindrical Fenders are available in both extruded and wrapped versions, depending on the size requirements. Outer diameters are available up to 2,700 mm, with inner diameters ranging from 50 mm to 1,300 mm. Lengths can vary up to 20 meters, mainly limited by handling and transportation. For long fender applications—such as tug boat bows—fenders are typically delivered in three separate sections.
All Cylindrical Fenders can be supplied with the appropriate mounting accessories, including chains, brackets, support bars, and ladder brackets. Custom dimensions and options, such as pre-curved designs or jointed sections, are available upon request.
