About
The Pneumatic Fender (also known as the Yokohama Fender) is an abrasion-resistant rubber fender filled with high-pressure air. Its ability to be easily deflated allows for simple, cost-effective relocation and redeployment at different locations.
Pneumatic Fenders are available with two different internal pressure levels to accommodate a wide range of performance requirements. They are manufactured in accordance with ISO 17357-1:2014. Various production methods are used, each offering distinct advantages when properly selected, with molded and wrapped being the most common. For more information, please refer to our Pneumatic Fender Manual.
It is important to distinguish Pneumatic Fenders from airbags, which are designed for ship launching operations and serve a completely different purpose.
Pneumatic Fenders come in diameters ranging from 300 mm to 4,500 mm and lengths from 500 mm up to 9,000 mm, including custom sizes. They are available either as sling-type fenders or fitted with heavy-duty chain and tire nets. Standard colors are black and grey (Navy), with other colors available upon request.
We also offer a specialized hydropneumatic version designed for submarines.
